How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I became licensed in 1981. I worked for a law Firm managing properties that the were working for a bank that had some financial issues. I leased, managed and sold properties from New Jersey to Florida. Then I took off on my own and had a commercial brokerage in Atlanta, until the market changed. After this change I began selling new homes for builders in the Atlanta market for over 10 years. Coming back to the PNW, and into a completely different market, I went with a major firm in Clark County listing and selling. I have pretty much stayed in this venue since.
What is your specialty?
I work in Vancouver/Clark County, specializing in the listing and selling of existing homes. I love helping others find the home of their dreams.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Know your market.
What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
An old farm house in Battle Ground that the first time homebuyers just fell in love with.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in Real Estate?
I love the historical houses in Vancouver. They have some great history and tales.
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Watching others enjoy their lives and finding what fits their needs.
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
We have come so far in the past few years. It is hard to imagine that we can grow much further. I look forward to assisting the many families and friends that are looking for their nest.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
Walking, crocheting, traveling. I also volunteer at an outreach supper monthly.
What do you like about living in this area?
The many opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. We are so lucky to have the mountains, rivers and easy access to the Pacific Ocean.
Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
After 30+ years I Real Estate, I love being able to continue to help people find the home that fits their needs. It is after all, all about them. First nest to empty nest.
