How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I’ve been in the business for 3 years now and actively licensed for almost 2. However, I always stress the importance of basing the decision of who you hire on the number of transactions they have done recently rather than the number of years they have been in the business.
What is your specialty?
I love working with first time buyers! I also specialize in working with relocation buyers and I consider myself an area expert on new construction. I actually opened the “New Home Center” in the Vancouver mall this spring to show buyers all of their new construction options available and coming soon to our area.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Be sure to hire someone who is knowledgeable, hungry and is willing to invest time into developing a relationship with their clients. A transaction can be a roller coaster and having someone you know, like and trust by your side every step of the way is crucial!
What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
Though every sale is unique in many different ways, last year I got the privilege of selling my childhood home out in Brush Prairie for my parents. That was such a fun experience because of my own personal attachment to the home that I grew up in!
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
It can be a huge challenge in this market to win a house and get your offer accepted. I LOVE helping my clients overcome the “10 offer” situation and come out on top. Though challenging, it is also very gratifying and is cause for an even bigger celebration in the end!
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
Well, overall real estate prices are still climbing at a rapid rate. I don’t believe that will continue much longer with the rising interest rates, but I do think our market will continue seeing steady appreciation over the next few years.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, am a huge Seahawks and Blazers fan, and love getting out on the river to enjoy some sunshine during the summer! I make it a point to spend time volunteering at my church and I am a big movie goer too, so don’t be surprised if you catch me at Cinetopia sometime!
What do you like about living in this area?
There are four incredibly diverse seasons and Clark County is located within a day’s drive from the coast, mountain range, Seattle and Portland! We are also close to one of the nicest airports in the country and we are within close proximity to NO SALES TAX! (Which really comes in handy for buyers looking to furnish their new home!)
Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
We pride ourselves on the relationship we build with our clients and always value that over the sales side of the business. I believe it is far more important to develop lasting relationships than it is to “Close a deal” or chase the next paycheck.
