Dear Neighbors,

In December in 2020, it seems like it’s been a long time since any of us connected with people in person; so, this is a good opportunity to remember that the best things are those that involve people, while getting into a new home. Miriah Ostlund at Peak Mortgage is one of the first people to help applicants complete the loan process through her work as a licensed production partner.

“Being a licensed assistant gives an additional opportunity to help borrowers achieve a smooth loan process and that the dream of homeownership matches the borrowers’ idea with what is in the paperwork,” says Miriah. Miriah came to Peak because she previously had a not-so-good experience working at a lender who was in the business of selling loans without regard to people’s ability to pay. Miriah says she has a renewed faith in homeownership at Peak and that she’s never had to sell people up, but instead has been able to meet the values, ethics and beliefs of borrowers with a transparent, honest, committed process at Peak Mortgage.

Most people applying for a mortgage don’t think about the terms of the application or what’s required between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and for that reason, neither does Miriah. Miriah is the person who will call out at 7 p.m. to update an applicant on the status of the process. It’s critical to Miriah and the team in these times that people get to hear people’s voices and know there’s a real person behind every application.

Even after a loan funds, Miriah is still communicating to all involved. Miriah says that completing the work with grace, truthfulness, and the knowledge of everyone on the team makes her feel good about each day’s work completed. “It is my great fortune to get paid to do work that helps all involved achieve the dreams of homeownership,” says Miriah.

One of the best ways to make sure that your home ownership dreams come true is to interview your mortgage lender and to talk to everyone on the team. Call or email MPattullo@PeakMtg.com
