How long have you worked in Real Estate?
10 years.
What is your specialty?
Residential, Luxury, Equestrian & investment properties.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Pick the right agent! Your home, for most, is a large part of your financial portfolio. Treat it as a business decision.
What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
An equestrian development that was first of its kind. It had access to a state park trail system and one of ten in the United States to be wildlife exempt. I played an integral role in getting both of those things accomplished.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
Listing a home that had an underground, sound proof gun range. Made for a unique marketing campaign.
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Challenge: To do the best for each client – you have to take each client’s objectives and give individual attention to achieving those goals.
Gratifying: Knowing you represented your clients in a professional way to meet and exceed all expectations.
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
Our market is being driven by a new demographic. The next 5 years will have a large push from the “Millennial Wave.” Those born between 1981 and 2000 are the largest segment to come into the market and will have the most impact in regards to our client base. They will be striving for the American Dream to own a home. Location will be more important than large space in relation to commuting to work. The market price will continue to rise due to low home inventory and interest rates still being at historical lows.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I love to ride. Horses are and always will be my greatest passion. I also enjoy hiking with friends and family. Anything on the water!
What do you like about living in this area?
We have it all! (Except for abundant sunshine) You can be hiking in the Columbia Gorge, or boating on a river or lake, or at the beach, or skiing down the mountain, all within a short drive.
Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
My background is unlike many realtors. Out of college I worked for Johnson & Johnson and Gillette, two Fortune 100 companies. The skills that I developed in marketing and negotiations have a great cross over for real estate. The training was extensive and you had to perform with results. My real estate team and I have great passion for what we do, bringing attention to every aspect and detail of the home buying or selling experience. Most importantly, we do what is best for the client. Looking long term with integrity leads to lasting relationships. If your clients achieve their goals you are a successful agent!
