How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I became a licensed agent in 2014. After a long career as a licensed nail technician, I felt it was time for a change.
What is your specialty?
A lot goes on in every transaction, making every one unique. For me it is important to focus on being a residential agent for buyers and sellers. However, there are agents in our office that have commercial and land experience.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Find an experienced agent that understands what the end result is for you. An agent that can take you through the process and have your best interest in mind.
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Most challenging would be the technology aspect of it. The industry is overwhelmed with an app for this and website for that. It can take the personal relationship aspect out of any transaction. The personal relationships are what’s gratifying.
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
From what I understand, home prices will continue to rise but at a slower rate. There will be a small bump in inventory, most on the new home front. Rates are expected to be around 3.75% to 4.6% by the end of 2017.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I am an upcycler extraordinaire! I love repurposing items and giving them new life. I have three grown children and one grandson that I enjoy spending time with. My husband and I are avid car enthusiasts. During the summer months you will probably see us cruising around in our 1969 Mercury Cyclone CJ. For those of you who appreciate a classic car, there are lots of family friendly activities that take place in the Metro area during the summer months.
What do you like about living in this area?
Where else but the PNW can you get four seasons of mild weather? We live in an area that is centrally located to the ocean, mountains and desert. Our friendly people and unique style make for a desirable place to live.
Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I work with a talented and dedicated group of real estate professionals with a combined experience of over 100 years. Our office beginnings start back in 1966 as Battle Ground Realty. We have been in business since then and now known in the community as Coldwell Banker United Brokers.
