How long have you worked in Real Estate?
14 years.
What is your specialty?
Residential Real Estate, and land in South Cowlitz County.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Write down your negative and positives for your desired home. Home is the objective word, not a house not an investment, but your home.
What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
A fishing vacation home built on the Kalama River designed by a person who did a major national TV Marketing Advertising Campaign in the early 80’s. He loved this home with a unique design, and memories he made there with his family over many years, and sadly he died the same month it was sold. It was one of his legacies.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
When showing a vacant home, the seller’s high school daughter was entertaining her boyfriend when I entered with clients to show the home. We were all SURPRISED. I now ring the doorbell before showing all vacant homes.
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Helping people make the decision on their biggest asset acquisition, their home. Their smiles are my reward and make me feel blessed. When I list homes I enjoy working with sellers to aspire to get their homes sold in a timely manner for the best value. Both buyers and sellers appreciate the full service I provide throughout the transaction/selling process.
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
I don’t have a crystal ball, but I would like to see the local income level stay in line with the local housing market, so a good percentage of the people living in SW Washington can enjoy the benefits of home ownership.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
My spouse and I love to entertain friends. Be it group gatherings or having another couple over for a special dinner. We love to do international travel as well as extended vacations in Maui, our favorite get away destination. Tennis, golf and skiing have always been my favorite outdoor activities.
What do you like about living in this area?
We found a very special place in SW Washington 14 years ago. We found paradise. A two acre view lot above Woodland, with a 30 mile view of the Columbia River and the Oregon Coast Range. It’s sunsets that steal our hearts in the evenings. Tranquil is the one word to describe it.
Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I was in the corporate banking world for almost 30 years, and now real estate for 14 years. I am so blessed to be working in such a rewarding business as I approach my last working years. Coldwell Banker SEAL — well, they provide me with the tools to my success, and the other associates are like family.
