How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I started my Real Estate Career in May 2016.

What is your specialty?
My specialty is working with residential home sellers and overcoming challenges to reach success, at any price range. As a member of Greater Vancouver Luxury Homes and with resources including Windermere Premier Properties and Luxury Portfolio, my scope reaches across Clark County to serve a broad range of sellers and buyers.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
The agent you choose matters. Choose a real estate professional who has market knowledge, skills, and the drive to help you accomplish your goal.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
The most unique property I listed was a 1973 updated ranch home with corrugated silver sheet metal siding. The inside of the home is a mix of modern and traditional, with a storage pantry that closes with a sliding barn door. Once I saw the vision of the seller to create an urban industrial vibe during the time they lived there, I was able to market this home true to their vision while matching the buyer’s expectations.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in Real Estate?
Clark County, and specifically Vancouver, has a broad spectrum of unique homes and remarkable history. Within the Greater Vancouver Luxury Homes, we recently toured a home that had an indoor pool complete with waterfall and slide. Another home featured a garage that could easily store ten cars.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
It is an exciting moment when a seller closes on their home and starts a new chapter in their life. A new home owner is equally as excited, and I get to be part of that journey. In terms of challenges, many times a home seller needs to sell their home to buy their next home. Clear communication and precise timing is key in the success.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
Clark County resident have enjoyed increases in home value between 8-10% year over year, with pockets of Downtown Vancouver seeing incredible 18% increases. This results in higher prices and multiple offers which has proven challenging for buyers. It is attributed in part to low inventory of homes for sale and steady demand and area growth. We are now seeing the seasonal shift, as well as indicators for what 2019 might hold, with less buyers actively seeking a home, and an increasing number of homes for sale as well as rising interest rates, resulting in lower selling prices.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
My husband is a 21-year retired Navy Veteran who has started his second career. Our children are 14 and 16. We love to travel in Pacific Northwest. We also travelled to Yosemite. I am President of Clark County Toastmasters and a member of Professionally Speaking Toastmasters, and have been a featured guest host of the 5AM Club, a 5-7-minute call every morning heard by thousands of entrepreneurs and business leaders. I am active in my church, Crossroads Community Church in Vancouver. We volunteer throughout the community, and recently served as part of the crew to do trail clean up in Whipple Creek Park.

What do you like about living in this area?
In addition to the growth in the region and the new Waterfront, Vancouver is perfectly situated outside of Portland, but yet close enough for the conveniences of the City. What I love most about the area is the people. Vancouver is filled with community and a welcoming spirit.
