How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I have been fortunate enough to help buyers and sellers in the Clark County area for the past two years. Real estate is my second career. Before becoming an agent, I worked in education for 21 years.
What is your specialty?
I have worked with a variety of buyers and sellers. I have facilitated transactions including single family residences, manufactured homes, condos, multi family units and cabins. I do not limit myself to being just a buyer’s agent or listing agent. I do enjoy helping families relocate, as I have first hand knowledge of the challenges that come with relocation.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
My advice to buyers and sellers would be to be patient, don’t get discouraged, and rely on your Realtor®.
What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
The most unique and beautiful property I have sold was in Camas. It had three levels, three fire places, and beautiful coffered ceilings in the formal living area and master. The master also had a lovely seating area with a fireplace and territorial views from the side and back of the home. It also offered two balconies, a beautiful water feature, and landscaping that felt like a fairy garden.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in Real Estate?
The most unusual thing I’ve encountered while working in real estate is helping buyers that live out of state. It’s a big responsibility for an agent to have a good understanding of what the buyer wants in their new home. I guess what’s unusual to me, is that I haven’t had an experience yet where the buyer was unhappy with the home they had chosen from afar.
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
The most challenging aspect of what I do is collaborating with all of the other professionals and moving parts involved in a real estate transaction. A successful transaction means taking a buyer or seller through the process and achieving my client’s desired outcome. There is nothing quite like getting to hand someone the keys to their future!
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
I see a stable market in our area especially, as jobs opportunities increase and more people move into Clark County. Homeowners and real estate investors will continue to see a good rate of return on their investments. Clark County will continue to be a stable environment for real estate, and homeowners will continue to see price gains for several more years.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking, paddle boarding, traveling, and exploring the PNW. I have been involved with volunteering through the PTA at my boy’s elementary school, and I served as the Movie Night Chairperson. Also, our family is involved in Cub Scouts. My husband is currently the Cub Master in our boy’s Cub Scout pack. I climbed Mt. Saint Helens in September of 2017, and I still can’t believe I did it. Our family has also enjoys going out paddle boarding and kayaking on Lacamas Lake in the summer time with our dog, Josie.
What do you like about living in this area?
Well, I am a Texas girl living life in the PNW. After my first trip to Seattle in 2014, the Pacific Northwest became a vacation destination for me. I never knew there were so many activities I could actually do outside. I love the mild climate, beauty, and proximity to the mountains and beach. When my husband had an opportunity to accept a job on the west coast, we jumped at the chance.
