What is your specialty?
Both buyers and sellers of residential real estate.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Get ready financially. Talk to one or more lenders for the program that’s RIGHT for you. Get at least pre-qualified for a loan before you hope to present an offer on a house.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
Nothing jumps out at me. But then I embrace everyone’s individuality, and individuality shows in their homes.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in Real Estate?
I am an avid animal lover and advocate. I’ve seen a quite a few different animals that are kept by residents. So far nothing exotic, but various fowl and rodentia that are out of the ordinary: Peacock and one other pea fowl, a squirrel, a ferret that looked more like a mongoose. And snakes. People do love their pets.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
I work as co-agent with Christi Mangner at John L. Scott. We make the ride smooth for the client. It is gratifying when I see a joyful new owner of a home, or seller that doesn’t look like they’ve been through the wringer; someone with a fresh, genuine smile all the way across their face! I work hard to make people happy. Always have.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
Housing prices continue to rise, the need is DEFINITELY there. The market will react by showing us more homes eventually and the buyers will snatch them up as they are now. Basically, the market is a roller coaster. Some roller coasters really take you for a heart-pumping screamer, but I think that this roller coaster will be mildly exciting…but don’t quote me on that!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I LOVE hiking. PNW is so beautiful, and with beaches and mountains over there it gives us SO many choices. I love most outdoor activities. I am in love with the water, too. Any water activities on it or by it, I’m in.

I’m in a band called There She Goes. We are a 5-piece rock band, and an acoustic duo and trio, and have been together for over 10 years. We play at nightclubs, wineries, and we do a LOT of parties and fundraisers: for the Kyron Horman Foundation for missing children, many animal organizations across the northwest, Mom’s Place Maternity in Battleground, and Narcotics Anonymous in Portland, just to name a few. We also perform at fairs, festivals, and farmers’ markets.
My business partner (and best friend) and I often visit Sharehouse and other places where homeless individuals frequent. We are known by those folks both workers, residents, and clientele alike. We listen, we donate, we try to do our best to help in whatever way they need. And they DO NEED.
I also have a lot of fun performing as an extra in many of the television series filmed here in the PNW. I’ve been in a few episodes of The Librarians, Leverage, and Grimm

What do you like about living in this area?
The beauty of its geography and geology, the snow (I’m originally from Houston, Texas. We didn’t get much of that), the multitude of rivers and streams, and the huge variety of natural wonders. Also the tolerant people, their culture, and their love for the planet.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I proudly served in the U.S. Navy and have a strong sense of duty and loyalty. I apply this to my family, friends, clients, and country. I embrace all of the attributes quoted in our Realtor pledge and the NAR’s Code of Ethics. I am a full service agent, as in all aspects of my life, and I make it a point to engage, to serve, to perform at my best, to invite, to learn, to accomplish. And to LISTEN.
