Whether you’re in the market for a luxury home now, or plan to be in the future, a local group of agents have a special event happening this coming Sunday that you won’t want to miss.

This Sunday, the Greater Vancouver Luxury Homes Group will present their annual Doorways to Luxury Spring Home Tour. From 12:00pm to 5:00pm, a select number of some of the most upscale homes currently for sale in Clark County will be open to the public. The tour is free and self-guided, with food donations being accepted at each site to benefit the Clark County Food Bank.

“This is a cohesive tour of exceptional homes shown by the most exceptional agents in this area,” said Linda Horowitz, GVLH co-chair. “It’s a chance to see different properties and values and to visit different neighborhoods and houses all at your own pace without any sales pressure.”

This year’s featured luxury home sits atop Prune Hill in Camas. The 4+ bedroom, 3 full + 1/2 bath home is a complete remodel. When the owners moved out of the area, they turned over the entire remodel project to their trusted listing agent Lori Anderson-Benson, with stunning results. “The sellers put it in my hands and let me do the whole remodel. Many high end buyers in the luxury market want move-in ready homes. They don’t always want to do the work it takes to make the home the best it can be,” Lori said.

“People are moving here because they’re finding themselves priced out of the Seattle and California markets,” he said. “They come here and fall in love with our wonderful communities, convenient access to cities and the airport, and so close for weekend getaways to the mountains and coast.”

Ed says the Doorways to Luxury Spring Tour offers a valuable educational process for anyone thinking to purchase or relocate here. “It’s a great way for newcomers to get to know the area,” he said. “And also for people who already live here can get to know parts of Clark County they may have never visited before.”

Homes are selected for the Doorways to Luxury Spring Tour based on price point and premier quality. The tour is an opportunity for luxury real estate professionals who are GVLH members to present their best properties on the market to the public.

Greater Vancouver Luxury Homes is a collaborative effort between agents who believe in the benefits of community and working together. The group hosts monthly tours for agents and affiliate sponsors which provides an educational opportunity and exchange of information.

“There’s no group in the Portland area like this,” said Lori Anderson-Benson, who is a GVLH board member. “It’s really special. We’re all about education and helping each other. We love to share our knowledge with each other and with the community.”

Lori Anderson-Benson and Linda Horowitz both agree they have seen the luxury home market picking up lately. “If they’re priced right, they don’t stay on the market long,” added Linda. “With our group, agents can help each other getting properties listed and sold which benefits the local real estate market as a whole.”
