The dates are set and the location has been chosen. Groundbreaking will soon begin for the 2021 NW Natural Parade of Homes. The Building Industry Association of Clark County has chosen a beautiful lake view community in Felida as the location for next year’s show which will take place July 9-25, 2021.The homes on show will be located in the west end of Felida Overlook, a private, gated, 45-lot custom home community by Ginn Development that overlooks Vancouver Lake.

Developer Patrick Ginn says this is a great setting for the event because of the large, half-acre lots, green space, and lake views. Something a little different about next year’s show is how far ahead the planning has started. But Ginn says the extra time is a good thing.

“We’re excited to host the Parade of Homes again and also that we have a year to work on it,” he said. “It’s been exciting to have a full 12 months to get the best product here.”

Ginn says something people will want to see on next year’s show is innovative trends in indoor and outdoor living such as home offices and more space for kids outside.

“It’s the first show after COVID,” he said. “People will be interested to see how designs have changed because of all the changes to how people are living now. People are spending more time at home, working from home, and less time traveling.”

BIA Executive Director Avaly Scarpelli says the BIA is looking forward to next year’s event.

“The BIA is delighted to work with the Ginn Group to rejuvenate the highly anticipated NW Natural Parade of Homes,” she said. “COVID-19 has caused a tremendous amount of disruption in our economy. Housing is more essential than ever before, and we’re excited to showcase design and functionality trends that have emerged from the pandemic.”

Ginn Development develops up to ten communities in Clark County per year. Patrick Ginn says in 2014 the company began focusing on developing communities within an affordable $350,000-$450,000 price range.

The NW Natural Parade of Homes show is Southwest Washington’s premier home show which has become an annual tradition that draws visitors looking for innovative ideas in building, remodeling, landscaping, and interior design.
