North Garrison Heights

Welcome to North Garrison Heights! This is a lovely community with wonderful parks, great schools, and the best medical facilities that Vancouver has to offer. There is a diverse mix of housing options including generous modern homes, quaint older homes, apartments, and townhomes. North Garrison Heights also has a bustling commercial area with nice restaurants, a gym, a hardware store, and plenty of other amenities. This is a fantastic place to take a stroll and enjoy the peaceful scenery, well-maintained yards, and beautiful parks.

If you are in the neighborhood, stop by Ben’s Bottle Shop for some beer and food. Ben’s has an amazing rotating tap selection, and hundreds of bottled options to choose from; this is a fantastic place to sit down and enjoy a pint or grab a bottle to-go. Another one of my favorite spots is Woody’s Tacos. They have a great menu with something for everyone; a couple of my favorites are the veggie burrito and shrimp tacos. If you are looking for a nice park to spend the day at, David Douglas Park is a wonderful place to hit some baseballs or play catch. In addition to the many baseball fields and abundant greenspace, there is a lovely path that goes around the park and plenty of spots to picnic or play on the grass.

North Garrison Heights is home to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and The Vancouver Clinic. These facilities are a tremendous resource to the community as they offer important health resources and job opportunities. Also unique to this neighborhood is Henrietta Lacks Health and Bioscience High School. This is a specialty school that offers programs in biotechnology, biomedical engineering, public health, nursing, and pharmacy. These resources enrich the community and provide excellent opportunities for the citizens of Vancouver
