Welcome to Fisher’s Landing! This is a neighborhood where the rich history of days gone by meets the convenience and livability of modern life. Here you will find safe and quiet communities with generous modern dwellings. This is a fantastic place to take a stroll and enjoy the peaceful scenery, well-maintained yards, and plentiful parks. The Fisher’s Landing neighborhood is thoughtfully developed and comprised of small purpose-built communities with a convenient commercial area that has all the necessary amenities.

The main commercial area is along 164th Avenue; here you will find grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and much more. One of my favorite stops is Chutneys Indian Restaurant and Grocery Store; they have lovely Indian food and a cute little shop attached to the restaurant. A couple of my favorite dishes are Navratan Korma and Bhindi Masala; they also have wonderful Samosas. If you are in the neighborhood stop by Chutneys and grab a bite. Another one of my favorite spots is Heritage Park. This Park has a beautiful greenspace to enjoy and an amazing playground area.

The history of Fisher’s Landing dates back to the 1800’s when the community was known as Fisher. The neighborhood was named after a man named Solomon Fisher; he established a riverboat landing on the Columbia at the base of 164th Ave. In the 1900’s the landing serviced the ferry that traveled to Government Island. While the historic buildings and ferry landing no longer exist today, if you go down to the river’s edge you will still find a small community park and beach that serve as a reminder of the neighborhood’s history.
