How long have you worked in Real Estate?
This year I am celebrating my 40[th] anniversary in the business. My mother encouraged me to take the real estate exam when I graduated high school in 1974. We became the well-known “Mother & Daughter” Realtor® team in Portland. I moved to Vancouver in 1984 and I raised my two daughters in Felida. This year Jami and Juli received their real estate licenses and are 3[rd] generation Realtors®. I’m proud that they are continuing our legacy.

What are the top three things that separate you from your competition?
I believe it is not the tangibles that separate you from the competition so much as the intangibles, such as personality, your passion towards helping clients achieve their goals, the ability to work together and how you treat people. I’m trustworthy and will go the extra mile to see things through until closing and beyond. My time is flexible and I can multi-task often at the spur of the moment. My clients can always reach me, not a team member or an assistant, but me personally. And finally, experience is important and I have 40 years worth.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Find a Broker with whom you can work well. Interview several in the process. Too often Brokers are replacing experience with knowledge. They might have the KNOWLEDGE but only life EXPERIENCES bring insight and wisdom. Ask Brokers how many transactions they have had over the last 5 years, and if they have a good support team to rely on when certain circumstances may arise.

Why should someone select you as their real estate agent?
Past clients say that I’m easy to work with. Here are a few excerpts from their testimonials. “Terri has years of experience and is always prompt on getting back to me when I have questions or concerns.” ~ “Her patience was amazing!” ~ “We were first time home buyers, but Terri made the process feel like we were in complete control and that we didn’t need to be rushed into anything.”

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I enjoy watching my grand daughters play soccer & volleyball. I love spending time with family. I’m looking forward to the Dress For Success campaign this November, where our office opens our doors and serve as a public drop center for donations.
