How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I’ve been a licensed Realtor® for just over a year, but I’ve been in the industry for nearly 10 years. My background in everything from loan origination to real estate marketing have really been a springboard to my business and my approach to every transaction. It’s been very helpful to be able to add value and resources to my clients with the many hats I’ve worn throughout my career.

What is your specialty?
I specialize in both buyers and sellers. I really enjoy both! I love educating and researching the best options for my clients.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
One tip for buyers is to have an initial meeting with your Realtor and make sure you outline what is important to you in your next home. This is such a major purchase and you want to make sure you are outlining the things that you absolutely couldn’t do without. One tip for sellers is to take the time and start packing! It is amazing to me the subtle difference a well-staged and clutter free home will make when presenting it on the market for the first time.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
I recently sold an amazing home that was like a retreat in the city. It had a beautiful open staircase with huge windows and a very “beachy” feel to it. It was one of those homes that felt like it should have been on the beaches of Malibu. I secretly loved holding it open this summer just to be on the deck and feel like I was on vacation!

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
I was showing a vacant home in the country and when I was walking the property with clients, we could hear a faint cry of a cat, but couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. We finally found the cat up a HUGE tree, not able to get down. Thankfully we found a ladder in the barn, and were able to help out. Honestly, the things you do as a Realtor often times are above and beyond what anyone could imagine. It’s really a very unique career.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
The most challenging thing about this career is managing all the elements of a transaction and making it look seamless. There are so many moving parts and when they all come together and you get to deliver the keys to a new home buyer, that is the absolute best feeling ever, and most gratifying aspect of what I do.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
I see another great year in real estate ahead. This year we have seen some markets leveling off a bit, but the market is still hot. I feel like if you are in the market to make a move, now is a great opportunity to sell your home while inventory is low. While interest rates are historically low, it is an amazing opportunity to get into a home, as well.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I really enjoy spending time with my husband Brent and children; Mitch, Chelsea and Jackson. My oldest son just moved into his first home and that was a pretty exciting moment to hand him the key! My daughter lives in California, so spending quality time when she is home is always a priority. My youngest son just started high school, so we get to enjoy our football days all over again! We are having a great time enjoying this phase of life and getting outside whenever we can to soak up the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

What do you like about living in this area?
I have relocated a few families here this last year and just love to showcase all the magnificent details of where we live. Vancouver has some of the best picnic spots, trails, restaurants and scenery. Living right on the Columbia Gorge, the views are breath-taking. Within a couple hours we can be in the snow skiing down a mountain, or at the beach enjoying fresh seafood and sunsets. The other thing I love about living here are the seasons. Some families I’ve relocated here haven’t seen snow where they live!

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
It’s such a pleasure and honor to help buyers and sellers realize their dreams. I’ve met people from all over the United States and helping them find the place to make memories here in Vancouver is so rewarding. I truly love my clients, value the friendships and appreciate all the trust they put in me. My supporting company, Keller Williams, has been amazing. The classes and guidance I’ve received have been wonderful and I’ve had the best mentors in the business. I couldn’t ask for a better experience.
