How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I have worked in Real Estate since 2004.

What is your specialty?
I work primarily in Ridgefield, Battle Ground, North Clark County, South Cowlitz County specializing in Rural Residential and Land.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
When you are ready to buy or sell your property connect with a good broker in your area. They can open more doors for you than you will find online. Accurate, timely information is the key!

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
I sold a 4200 sq. ft., 2 bedroom house on 20 acres valued at $2.5 Million.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
A 74 year old widow from Alaska called me to purchase a home. After looking at many homes and not finding anything she liked, she decided to build. We had by then bonded so closely that she asked me to pick out colors and finishes with her. After thinking about it she changed her mind, so we went back to pick them out all over again. She did insist on having a ceiling heater in her garage: something people in Alaska have the need for. She loves her home now. We have since picked out a car, negotiating that transaction with her, helped her get comfortable driving around town, and we even helped her find a new church and are now lifetime friends.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
I treat every client like they are family, and truly enjoy giving them more than they expect. I find the appreciation I get from my clients gratifying when I can outperform their expectations.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
With the current growth number for Clark County, I see rapidly appreciating prices and continued hot sales for the next couple of years.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I love to fish, every chance I get. I really enjoyed taking my 2 adult sons fishing last year in Sitka, Alaska. Every year I donate a fishing trip to CCAR fundraisers. I am also very active in my church, Ridgefield Nazarene, of 20 years serving 3 years on the board. I am very active in missions outreach, funding several..

What do you like about living in this area?
Everything! I love how in an hour from where I live, I can be enjoying the many lakes, rivers, forests and beaches in SW Washington and Oregon. Living in Ridgefield we have a great quiet neighborhood with easy access to the restaurants and shopping in both Vancouver and Portland.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I am an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and take the chance to go out as often as I can. Every year I have donated a fishing trip to raise money for CCAR. I am a Vietnam Veteran serving with the Air Force. I have been married to my lovely wife Lorinda for 33 years in June. We have two wonderful sons and one absolutely adorable granddaughter.
