How long have you worked in Real Estate?
Real estate has been a family affair for me since I was a child. My parents and grandparents spent all their lives working and investing in real estate. I grew up learning about this business. I became a broker in 2007. I am a licensed Managing Broker/RealtorĀ® in Washington and a Broker Associate in Oregon. My husband Wayne is also a Broker and together we are a terrific team!

What is your specialty?
I specialize in relocation, new construction, and land and acreage residential real estate in Clark County and the Portland Metropolitan area. Originally from Peru, I also speak Spanish and I find it gratifying assisting Spanish speaking clients.

What is the one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Partner with a real estate professional you can trust, and one who is willing to go beyond the extra mile for you.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
Last year, I listed a stunning ranch/farm style house in the country with acreage. It was all beautifully landscaped, private and surrounded by evergreens, with a very large play-yard, swings and slides for children, an immaculate fishpond with exotic fish, a carefully designed orchard with a large variety of fruit trees, and included an outdoor fireplace. It is a small paradise, perfect for entertaining!

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
I find it gratifying to be able to assist buyers with one of the most important financial decisions in their lives. I also enjoy assisting sellers in procuring the most profitable outcome when selling their properties.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
2017 continues to be a good year for real estate in Clark County and Portland. Prices will continue to rise but more slowly. More Millennials will become homeowners and residential construction will be on the rise. It is an excellent time for buyers while prices are still low in the Pacific Northwest compared to other states.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working, hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
One of my favorite things to do is spending time at home. Our two sons are now in college. Our oldest is a Cougar (WSU) and our youngest is a Husky (UW)! I also enjoy taking dance lessons, going for walks, biking, swimming, sewing and working out at home.

Wayne and I are busy bees! You will see us around teaching workshops for First Time Home Buyers as part of the Home Advantage Program sponsored by the Housing Finance Commission for the State of Washington. We also participate in several of our community events through the Hockinson School District every year. We volunteer during the Annual Hockinson Fun Days and Family Night/Book Swap events. This is something our family has been involved in since our kids were small. We firmly believe that giving back to the community is essential. We are also involved with Miracle Home’s Network, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and Habitat for Humanity.

What do you like about living in this area?
I feel very fortunate to live in one of the most beautiful states in the country. I love the greenery, the view of the mountains and being so close to rivers and lakes while, at the same time, being close enough to the urban and diverse cities of Vancouver and Portland where there is so much to do.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I am very thankful to have the support of the wonderful RE/MAX Equity Group in Vancouver and the RE/MAX Select office in the gorgeous Pearl District in Portland. It is a blessing to work with dedicated and knowledgeable professionals and having the opportunity to make a positive impact in the community.
