What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Always consult with a broker first.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
I moved to Vancouver three years ago. I bought my first house “for sale by owner” without a broker. Later on I found out it is only for a 55+ community and cannot be used as a rental. I had to list it with a broker to sell it and lost 13K. This is why I encourage buyers to consult a broker for better understanding of the process and regulation of the property.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
It can be a challenge to discuss and negotiate, and can also challenge your patience too.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
The population is growing here and there is lots of opportunity. This is a very nice and peaceful area so I think the prices will still keep going up.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I own a dance studio (Meiya Arts Edu) and on weekends teach dance and ballet. I volunteer my time to my local school and local Chinese community. I enjoy sharing my 20 years of experience in stage performing. I like hunting and painting also.

What do you like about living in this area?
I enjoy the peace and quiet of this area!
