How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I’ve been helping people buy and sell real estate since 2008. Real Estate is my second career. Before Real Estate, I was a hairdresser for 23 years, mostly in northern California , and I did interior décor on the side.

What is your specialty?
Since I have a background in interior design, I’d say helping clients get their homes ready to sell is my specialty. Spending time with a client helping them make their home look its very best is probably my favorite part of my job. I have lots of décor pieces to offer my clients while I market their home.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Use a Realtor®. We really are very helpful and will make the process safe and much easier.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
I listed the “1905 Historical Farrell House” in Camas. When I went on the listing appointment and drove onto the street and saw the house, I was in awe of its appearance. A big beautiful white home with a wraparound porch that looked like a home you’d see in the southern living magazine. Staging it was fun. The Farrells left town for a three day weekend, gave me the keys and I had the home ready for the market by the time they returned home.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Currently, in this sellers’ market helping a first time home buyer get a home can be a challenge as their price point is usually between $200-250,000 and that’s a price point that usually gets multiple offers and cash buyers. The first-time home buyers usually can’t compete in that. The most gratifying part of my job is handing over keys to my buyers and picking up keys from my sellers.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
I wish I knew that answer. I do know we still have buyers and investors who really want houses/homes. People have asked me if we are headed back into another real estate crash. The crash was mostly due to people getting loans that really weren’t qualified to buy a house. We don’t have any of that going on now. People that are buying now are qualified buyers who can handle the ebb and flow of the real estate market. The current accelerated market is due to supply and demand. Lots of buyers and a low inventory of homes. I am seeing more sellers making a move which will help that.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I enjoy decorating my home and giving décor advice to others, if they ask. Estate sales are my guilty pleasure. I love unique treasures and great deals. My favorite thing to do is hike/walk with my pug (coop). He makes me laugh every day. He is my sunshine. I am an animal lover! Being in my yard planting/growing flowers and making it a pretty space is probably my second favorite thing to do. Traveling is something I also really enjoy and have been fortunate to have seen some amazing places and hope to see a lot more.

What do you like about living in this area?
I love all the green. Our trees are amazing and our summers are the BEST…
