How long have you worked in Real Estate?
Since 2005.

What is your specialty?
Buyers and Sellers. I love different aspects of working with both buyers and sellers! There is nothing more rewarding than finding someone their new home. I have a great ability to understand what a buyer is looking for after my very first visit with them. Equally, helping my sellers prepare their home for sale so that they will get the most they can in the sale and negotiating on their behalf is very rewarding as well.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Interview your agent and make sure that their personality and goals are in line with yours. Experience is crucial when hiring a listing agent! It is also important to hire someone that other agents respect and work well with.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
I listed a very high end remodel and helped the seller with all aspects of the interior design. As a licensed interior designer I offer a unique skill set for sellers who are in need of anything from simple updates, to staging and interior remodels.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
There have been many unusual things I have encountered over the years, but the one that stands out is my buyers and I walking in on a seller and his girlfriend in an “intimate” moment even after making an appointment to show the home! Embarrassing moment for all of us!

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
The most gratifying thing is to truly make someone’s dream of home ownership a reality! I love working with first time home buyers. It is such a special thing to hand someone the keys to their new home! As far as the most challenging thing, I thrive on challenges! Many times the home inspection creates a challenge, or a low appraisal, but this is where experience matters! It is important to have a professional RealtorĀ® help you navigate through these challenges, it makes all the difference.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
I believe things will level off, but if any of us had a crystal ball, we would all be investing in real estate! Real estate is historically cyclical, so there will always be ups and downs over time.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I enjoy decorating and helping my friends, family and clients make their homes beautiful! I just recently became engaged to my fiance’ Paul Stone, and we are both part of the Planet Fitness Dragon Fever Dragon Boat team that competes at the Rose Festival every year! My two daughters, Marissa and Mallori Morris are also part of the team so it’s a family affair! We also enjoy camping, traveling, and just spending time with friends!

What do you like about living in this area?
I love the Northwest! Having lived in southern California for many of my adult years, I truly love the four seasons we have here, fall being one of my favorite times! Vancouver specifically, offers so much of what I love. It is a wonderful area that offers so many outdoor activities which we love! We have lakes and mountains and beauty like no other state!

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I am always happy to talk with buyers and sellers even if they are not planning to buy or sell immediately. I believe relationships are important, not just the sales. When you take care of people, the business will come. I really love to help people and I love my job!
