Brenda Christina, Clark County WA real estate agent

How long have you worked in Real Estate?
The past 14 years I have been a licensed Realtor. For several years prior to that I was a property manager, overseeing several residential communities, single family dwellings, and retail centers.

What is your specialty?
I have worked with many first time home buyers and find joy in helping people realize the dream of home ownership. I have also worked with assisting many in relocating here from other areas. I obtained my SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation because I really feel passionate about helping the mature population with their real estate needs. Really, my specialty is getting my clients where they want to go and helping them identify where that is in regards to their real estate transaction. I specialize in the accurate research, delivery and practical application of the market statistics to your property when a client is considering putting their home on the market.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Contact a Realtor to represent you.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
Well, that’s a tough question because it is my job to make them all unique but the first one that comes to mind is a beautiful, 5000+ square foot historic home downtown, complete with parlor, butler’s pantry, even a dance floor on the 3rd level.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
The most challenging thing is maintaining balance in my own life, which I continue to learn and improve upon, but it is challenging because I choose to be available 24/7 if my clients need me. The most gratifying aspect of what I do is having the opportunity to meet wonderful people, really get to know them, and be able to truly help them with such an important and personal thing: buying and/or selling their home. I have to add too that it is humbling and gratifying to have a 97% referral based business and have the opportunity to be a part of people’s lives, to serve and offer support through life changing events.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
All indicators suggest we are continuing to move toward a strong, healthy real estate market — meaning: stability as well as growth in property values.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I take pride in and enjoy shepherding the cause of human relationships and real friendships. The rekindling of friendships from school has been particularly rewarding. My husband Richard and I have met regularly with a group of friends for the past 14 years. Most of us have known one another for 40+ years. Many of this group went to Mill Plain Elementary together. I see myself as a connector of people, not only with other people but with whatever lights their souls up, whether that be hiking, music, boating, education, events, spiritual gatherings, traveling or self discovery adventures. Other hobbies I enjoy are Glass Fusing, the study of Rocks and Crystals, History, the study of energy and light, mentoring and supporting women, and reading.
I have served the Clark County Association of Realtors the past three years both as member of Grievance committee and also as a Director on the board. It has been an amazing experience and has made me very proud to see what the Real Estate Community, led by our Association, has done and continues to do for our community.

What do you like about living in this area?
I was born here, just like the last 3 generations of my family. I love the forests, rivers, wildlife…all of nature’s wonders. I like the community feel and friendliness in Clark County, the schools, the involvement of parents, the developments I’ve seen from being a lifelong resident, of places like Esther Short Park, the walking trails, the Fort, Officers Row, downtown areas of Vancouver, Camas, Ridgefield…fabulous. I always say to people relocating here, “One of the most awesome things about our location is the proximity to so many different climates and their activities: Mountains, Ocean Beaches, High Desert. I love where we live!”
