How long have you worked in Real Estate?
Working in Real Estate is something that I was interested in doing for many years. I started working towards licensure in the fall of 2015 and began working in Real Estate in the spring of 2016.

What is your specialty?
The Real Estate business is so broad and expansive and being newer to Real Estate I have not acquired a specific area to specialize in. I am currently in exploring all areas of real estate until I find the area that I connect most strongly to.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
The best tip that I can offer someone looking to buy or sell a home is to find a quality a Realtor® and then spend time getting to know them and allow them to get to know you because the greater insight your agent has into your life, the better they will be able to meet your needs and help you meet your goals.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
Something that I have found to be a bit surprising, if not unusual, is the different personalities that you encounter on a daily basis. As is true of most occupations that involve working with people, you can never quite predict who you are going to meet.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
The thing that I find the most gratifying about what I do is that no two days are quite the same. Every day has its own unique challenges to overcome, new people to meet and something new to learn. I am fortunate to get to meet and know so many people of all different vocations and walks of life and it adds a richness to my life in a way that I find very rewarding.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
There is so much uncertainty in the world right now that it is hard to predict what is going to happen but I choose to live life with optimism and hope for the future of the world and for real estate. I see our area continuing to grow and develop as it has since its beginnings.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
When I am not working, I enjoy time with friends and family, volunteering for my daughter’s school, visiting historical sights, wood-working. My family loves all the natural beauty that our area offers. We love to go kayaking on Lacamas Lake, spending time at local parks, hiking to a waterfall in the gorge or even just spending the afternoon inside reading a good book and listening to the rain, whatever we do we always enjoy spending time together.

What do you like about living in this area?
There are so many great things about living in this area. We are blessed with so much natural beauty, but perhaps the best thing about living here is the people. The people who choose to call this area home care deeply about each other, their community, nature, and the wider world.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I would want them to know why I chose to work with John L Scott Real Estate. I chose John L Scott because it is a company that really stands for doing what is right for its clients and really works for them, with the goal of making a difference to its clients like J. Lennox Scott the CEO of John L Scott says, “It’s about the possibilities in our clients’ lives.” People first is something that I truly believe in and I would say that is something that the brokers who with work John L Scott Real Estate truly embrace.
