How long have you worked in Real Estate? I started my real estate career in February of 2014.

What is your specialty? Having been born and raised in Vancouver, WA, Relocation, and being a buyer’s agent is what I would call my specialty If I had to pick one. I first started my real estate career in new construction as a listing agent, so I’m also very familiar with the listing side. I work with buyers and sellers of all price ranges, from my smallest sale of a $60k lot, to my largest sale, a $3.7 million dollar waterfront house!

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home? Really do your research, and ask a lot of questions when it comes to choosing the right realtor to work with. Look them up, check their past sales and read their reviews. There’s a lot of inexperienced realtors out there right now, and they don’t have the knowledge and craftiness it takes to write a competitive offer, and negotiate terms and repairs. You can save/make a lot of money by hiring the right realtor.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do? I would say the most challenging aspect of what I do would honestly be having a good work/life balance. I’m a bit of a workaholic and a people pleaser, and love to make my clients happy, so it’s really hard to not constantly check my phone into the late hours of the night. The most gratifying aspect of what I do is definitely getting my homeowners keys to their new house. Whether it be first time home buyers, or clients downsizing into their forever home, It’s always the most exciting and gratifying part. They’re always so happy to start the next chapter in their life!

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices? In our area, I only see prices going up. We’re seeing a large in-flux of buyers from all over the US. I would say at least 50% of my buyers are relocating here. I think a lot of people enjoy the milder weather we have, and the perks of Washington state not having any income tax. We’re also one of the least expensive cities on the West coast, so it’s a lot more affordable for most. Now that people are starting to work more remotely, I think we’re just going to see more and more transplants.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun? When I’m not working, I love to hangout and bbq with friends and family. When it’s nice out, we’ll head to the river to float, take the kayaks out to the nearest lake, or head to the gorge for a nice hike.

What do you like about living in this area? I love that we’re so close to everything! If you want to go skiing or get to the snow, we’re less than an hour away. If you want to get away for a quick weekend, we’re an hour and a half from the beach, or three hours from Bend. If you’re looking to head to a big city, you have Portland right next door, or Seattle just up North! There’s something for everyone.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company? I love what I do for a living, and honestly most days, it doesn’t feel like work. Six years doesn’t sound like that long of a career, but I have been a top producer going on three years now. I look forward to what the future holds, and can’t wait to continue helping buyers and sellers find their dream home!
