How long have you worked in Real Estate?
Consistently for 13 years, inspired by my wife Jennifer who has been a Realtor® for 16 years.

What is your specialty?
My goal always is creating success for the client whether it’s Luxury properties or a manufactured home. I work with both Buyers, Sellers and distressed properties.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
For Buyers, make sure you have an agent who has your best interest at heart, and one who has a pulse on the market (including the varying areas of Clark county), one who has experience at negotiation, and who can be strategic with your offer. For Sellers, when wanting to prep your home to sell, first talk to an experienced agent who can direct you to items that may need attention verses what you may feel needs attention. I’ve seen sellers pour money into a certain area of their home that really was just fine, when they should have used those funds towards an area that will net them more money from the sale.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
One of our recent homes we sold garnered the most expensive sales price for a home in downtown Vancouver. It was a fully restored 1921 home next to Arnada Park for $900,000. Our client is an award-winning home restorer. In fact all three homes there he restored, including Mayor Kiggins home in which he had moved to that site.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
There really is a feel-good sensation when you’ve created a success for your client, and you observe just how it impacts them. Recent example is a single mom was facing a foreclosure auction. She had spoken to a few other agents, yet they really didn’t any advice, even stating just let it foreclose. I interceded, got authorization from her lien holder determining we can help, listed her property immediately procuring an offer, and the morning of the auction we got it postponed to allow a sale. Myself and my team were able to get her full debt forgiveness, all 5 liens removed, plus $5000 move out funds at closing. That feels so good to deliver good news when it appears there’s no hope.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
Vancouver/Clark County is still a strong real estate market. It is beneficial to be in a great location, sandwiched between two strong markets, Portland and Seattle. As for prices and value, I feel that they will stay where they are. With the rental market high in demand and rent prices high, a new standard of living has kind of been established, in return keeping our market where it’s at.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?

My favorite interests are our children Lexi and Julian, traveling, and music. I’ve travelled to about 25 countries, adding three new ones in late 2018. A few of my favorite countries I’ve visited have been Turkey, Norway, Iceland, and Peru.

What do you like about living in this area?
There truly is something special here in the PNW and living right here in Vancouver is a great place to call home. We are spoiled with the many options from the Columbia River and its Gorge, within hours we can be in the Mountains or at the Pacific Ocean, or in Seattle and a bit further Vancouver B.C.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I was born on the Canary Islands off the NW coast of Africa. My parents left Hollywood to relax there for seven years. I was a year old when we returned to West Hollywood, however my parents didn’t want to raise me there and relocated here. My father, Roger Hart, is well known in this area and beyond for his success in the music industry with his rock group Paul Revere & The Raiders, as well as other famous artists, selling up to 50 million records. It’s been really cool to be raised around the industry with a variety of people in our life. Interestingly, it has helped me in real estate by paying close attention to the needs of clients, like I’ve done with working with famous artists. I also am a drummer, so I periodically play with The Kingsmen and The Raiders. Our brokerage, Knipe Realty ERA Powered is a Portland/Vancouver local brokerage that is the first hybrid brokerage in the Pacific Northwest combining international branding while keeping it local and independent. It’s the ultimate relationship a Realtor® would want for themselves and clients.
