In the last 60 days I have seen three of my building/developing peers in their late 50’s and early 60’s pass away from Covid. They were all working and enjoying life, then suddenly they were gone.

It has had an impact on me.

Everyone is feeling the effects of the prolonged Covid stuff which has had huge impacts on human behavior, housing inventory, pricing, schedules, supply chains, labor and most importantly our mindsets.

Fatigue is real and it is here. We are focused on making sure that Fatigue does not create Burn Out amongst our Trade Partners and Employees. Here is what we are doing:

Teaching Patience. Everybody needs to know that in this environment it takes longer and costs more to get things done. Knowing that is the first step in Patience. Work with people knowing that everything is harder to do. Giving people time they need to stay physically and mentally healthy is ever important.

Simplify. Everybody that we work with needs continuous training on keeping things simple. We all know how good it feels to clean out the garage or your closets. It is the same for running a homebuilding business.

Find your True North and stay on course. We know our True North. We want to be the best Empty Nester Builder in Southwest Washington. Everything we do supports that.

I cannot think of anything more important in these challenging times than knowing your True North and supporting it with Patience and a Keen Eye on ever Simplifying.

Our model home is open 12-4 on Saturdays and Sundays. Check our website www.quailhomes.com for its location. We hope to see you there!

If you are thinking about downsizing…. Consider Quail…. you have earned it!!

I hope this helps and thank you for reading the newspaper.
