Quail Homes: 2018 A Year in Review

Posted December 1, 2018 in Real Estate Trends

Jon Girod, Clark County WA real estate agent

In 2018 we introduced our first two new neighborhoods Quail Grove and Quail Vista. In addition to our new communities we have built 16 fully custom homes on lots our clients own. Needless to say, it’s been a busy year.

We have spent much time strategically organizing our business. We have organized ourselves into 3 separate business units that will help serve our Empty Nester clients better. Quail Development will focus on land acquisition and development. We have worked extensively with Mascord Home Designs on terrific new single level floor plans ranging from 1800-2400 square feet. The lots that we create are specially designed for these awesome new plans.

Quail Homes will be building the homes on the lots that Quail Development creates.

Quail Custom Homes will continue to build on land that our clients own.

We have been building in Oregon since the early 1990’s.  We have decided that 2018 will be our last year there. We have fully come to realize that this decision had to be made. Our business is much more complex (regulations), our workforce is challenged with managing the ever increasing traffic and lack of quality workers in the trades.

We are very excited in putting all of our energy into Southwest Washington. All of our employees and trade partners are looking forward to working without crossing those bridges. With less road time, I personally will have more time to dedicate to making us a better company and am looking forward to that.

Our next article we will go into detail about how will be serving the Empty Nesters in 2019.

We want to thank you for reading the newspaper and wish you a Happy Holiday season.
