How long have you worked in real estate?
I received my license in 2015, seeking a career change. I’ve worked in the housing industry for nearly 30 years, with a Custom Window Treatment business. I am fortunate to have many loyal clients all around Southwest Washington.
What is your specialty?
Preparing my client’s home for sale through strategic staging and appropriate target marketing to help guide Sellers for success is key. My background in home fashion benefits my clients for a successful sale. Having home building knowledge is beneficial to my Buyers, detecting defects prior to making an offer.
What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
While technology guides many in their home search, a knowledgeable REALTOR® is key in a successful sale and purchase.
What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
A listing I currently have on Lewisville Highway in Battle Ground features multigenerational living/at-home business possibilities with room to grow on five flat acres featuring a phenomenal view to the Cascade foothills and close-in access to town.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in Real Estate?
Unfortunately, my buyers and I encountering squatters in a repossessed listing where occupants were actively cooking meth! We left the premises rather quickly!
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Matching buyers with the best home for their needs and staying within their budget is key. First time home-buyers are especially fun to work with. Guiding them to the best match and tempering the many emotions that go along with home sale and purchase is challenging but so rewarding.
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
I see prices stabilizing for a more balanced Buyer/Seller market. More listings and new construction options on the market are creating more options for buyers. In the upper end market we are seeing prices dropping with longer days on market.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I love traveling to see my daughter and son-in-law who currently live in Florida. A long-awaited trip to France became a reality recently. It was amazing and I am now planning my next European adventure. I have the travel bug now! I also enjoy hiking and outdoor music venues and events. I love that Windermere is engrained in local charities, specifically the Children’s Justice Center. With each transaction, we give back to this charity, providing much needed funding to an amazing cause in our community.
What do you like about living in this area?
Living in Clark County for nearly my whole life, I love this area and am so proud to call it home. We are fortunate to have the beauty and abundant resources nearby. Our temperate climate make outdoor activities possible year round. There is something for everyone here!
Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
My ability to stage and look creatively at space to see the potential is often insightful to my clients. My knowledge of our local area and its history are a nice plus for my clients. Especially out of town folks. I am passionate about real estate in Clark County and love working for such an upstanding, reputable company. I plan to do this the rest of my career!
