Quail Inventory

The last article I shared with you our Strategic Objectives for 2018. We have a unified commitment to be the best Empty Nester homebuilder in Southwest Washington ranging from 1500-2400 square feet. We operate with a set of Core Values focused on excellence, respect, accountability, trustworthiness, financial sustainability and supporting vocational training in Southwest Washington.

The last article I shared with you our Strategic Objectives for 2018. This article I would like to share with you one of our strategic objectives of Understanding and executing our new Quail Inventory program.

We choose to build custom homes during and after the recession. It provided us an excellent opportunity. Not many builders survived the recession so there was little competition. We honed in our skills and have become adept at building custom homes on a scale that few have in our county. We love building beautiful custom homes. We plan on doing so now and in the future. We will just build fewer (about 6-10 annually instead of 25ish).

It has become increasingly difficult to maintain any sense of rhythm in building custom homes on the scale that we have. Timing of receiving building permits ( it is awful), complexity of the home sites,
increased regulations, lack of a highly skilled work force in both the private and public sectors, rising costs for land, labor, materials and permitting are the primary reason for us to change to produce our own inventory. The next article I will share more about it.

Our new model home, a beautiful single level home named ‘The Lincoln’ is open Friday thru Monday every week from 10 am to 4 pm. It is located at 7909 NE 78th Street Vancouver, WA. We look forward to your visit.
