What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
For buyers, I would say stay within your limits. You always want to be able to vacation and have a meal out now and then. For sellers I would say, you can never be too clean.
What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
I think every property is unique. Different people look for different things in a home. I would love to live in an all glass home by the ocean, but I know that’s not what everyone wants.
What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
I showed a home once that had a turkey in the front yard. It was not in an area with farms around.
What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Not having enough homes on the market is a challenge. I love working with people and helping them with their home ownership dream.
What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
We live in such a beautiful place that I see more and more people making Washington home. I think the market will continue to rise.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I am the lead singer for the local band, There She Goes. We play the Vancouver Farmer’s Market, Esther Short Park, The Fair and we provide the music for The Kyron Horman and missing children events and several animal shelters. My business partner, Amy Wells, is also the guitar player for the band. Amy and I also feed the homeless a couple of days each week. We also volunteer for Mom’s Place Maternity in Battle Ground. They take homeless pregnant girls and women off the streets and give them a place to raise their babies while getting an education.
What do you like about living in this area?
How many places can you hike and see so many waterfalls, snow ski and go whale watching for the weekend.
Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
