How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I’ve been licensed in Washington and Oregon for four years. Before that, I worked in a real estate investment trust as an unlicensed participant for 10+ years where I was involved in procuring, contracting renovations, managing rental properties and marketing properties. And in the distant past, I worked with my parents in their real estate business in New Orleans, where they were both Realtors® and owned their own brokerage.

What is your specialty?
My area of expertise is in working with clients who are looking for a change in lifestyle. From empty nesters to growing families, what I specialize in is helping my clients find the perfect home for them, for the best price, in the right timeframe.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
My best advice to anyone on the verge of starting a real estate transaction would be to ask yourself the important questions; identify what you want vs need; your timeline for moving forward; your financial considerations. Look at the big picture before you start the process.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
The most unique property I have come across in Vancouver, WA is a 1964 mid-century ranch home with an entry-way atrium. It was still owned by the estate of the original owner and remained in its original state, down to the orange shag carpet! I loved it so much, my husband and I eventually bought it and love living in it!

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
I think the most challenging aspect of what I do is educating consumers regarding some of the misconceptions they might have about homeownership and their ability to purchase a home. The most gratifying aspect is helping a client purchase a home when they thought they would not be able to.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
Clark County is definitely cooling off after a hot market this summer. I think our county will continue to grow and the downtown area will especially thrive with the addition of the new Waterpark Development.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
When I am not working, you’ll find me working on home improvement and decorating projects, either for myself, friends or clients. I have a passion for midcentury modern furniture and décor and love the thrill of a good estate sale or thrift store. My children are all grown now and I love spending time with them. My husband and I are parents of two French Bulldogs who pretty much call the shots.

What do you like about living in this area?
I love the diversity of the Pacific Northwest. I love being able to take a day trip to the ocean one day and the mountain the next. I love the small-town vibe of Vancouver, and the proximity to Portland when seeking more of a city vibe. There’s no better place to live for hiking, camping, and kayaking.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
Real estate is not just my job. I love what I do and it filters through to virtually every part of my life. It’s a great bonus that I’m good at it and could make it my career! When you are looking for a Realtor® to help you navigate a purchase or sale, and you want one who is enthusiastic and loves the process, I’m your gal.
