How long have you worked in Real Estate?
Licensed in California in 2000. Sold in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Licensed in Washington and Oregon in 2016.

What is your specialty?
Residential homes and condos. Multi-family investment properties. 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges. I am Spanish speaking and sensitive to the needs of diverse cultures. LGBT friendly. First time home buyer friendly.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
If you plan to sell it “yourself,” consider that you may be putting lots of work in selling, marketing, negotiating a deal only to have it fall through or have unqualified buyers wanting to negotiate a “deal” with you because there’s no agent involved. Save yourself the headache and hassle and interview an agent who will fight to get you top dollar for your home, market it extensively, place it on the multiple listing service (you have to have a listing agreement to do this) so that thousands of agents in OR and WA can see your home and email it to their “qualified” pre-approved buyers!

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
An historic multi-million Victorian home in San Francisco, CA. It was bought by a former Ms. India and her family. This home was featured in a book and walking tours.

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
Touring homes with rooms so small you’d think they were a closet! Prices skyrocketing in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley areas. The devastating amounts of short sales and foreclosures during the recession.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Providing helpful and relevant information to my clients. Advocating for my buyers and sellers in contract negotiations. Learning new tools and technology that enhance my real estate services such as having a compact printer/scanner with me at all times so that when my buyer and I find a great home, we’ll be the first to make an offer on the home. Yes, even before the home hits the first open house!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I’ve been having a blast volunteering at Habitat for Humanity. I’m a sponsor of Share Vancouver annual charity Gala “Viva Las Vegas” ($3,500). I am a proud sponsor of Oregon Public Radio ($5,000) because I appreciate their wonderful programs. I love to cook! I love grabbing my book “America’s Test Kitchen” and making trusted recipes in my pressure cooker and bbq grill. I enjoy having get-togethers with friends and family.

What do you like about living in this area?
What’s there NOT to love? I enjoy boating and the majestic Columbia River. When I moved into a new neighborhood, I was shocked that the entire block came over one by one to introduce themselves and give us a warm welcome. I love the people here.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I have worked for many national real estate companies but I chose Kelly Right Real Estate because of the support they provide me, their growth plan and generous agent compensation plan that allows me to put money back into my community.
