How long have you worked in Real Estate?
Three years as a broker. I have been in love with Real Estate since I was a child. My stepfather was a framer in the Snohomish/King County area. I grew up playing on jobsites, sketching floor plans, and building construction paper castles.

What is your specialty?
Lifestyle living, floating properties, vacation homes, custom builds, view properties, unique properties, retirees, aging in place, multigenerational living, first time home buyers. I am duly licensed in Washington and Oregon. This positions me to work with people relocating to the Portland metro area who want to understand the value of living in Clark County.

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Don’t get discouraged! The right house will come along!

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
I’ve had the privilege of working with high price point buyers who are looking for something special. This has led me to amazing lots and locations where my client’s dreams can become reality. One of which was an acre and a half property on Vancouver Lake. It was an outstanding location most people don’t even realize exists!

What is the most unusual thing you’ve encountered while working in real estate?
A large stained glass window of a naked Viking woman

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
What I love about Real Estate is the opportunity to create community. Our job is more than just transactional details. We plug our clients into neighborhoods, interests, and resource. This augments and enhances our communities in significant ways.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
I see the market testing the height of pricing. We’re seeing more listings linger on the market for more than a few days, which indicates to me we may have reached the ceiling. I see the prices leveling off, but competition continuing to be a problem.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
I’m an active guy. I love anything to do with water, whether it’s boating, sailing, swimming, kayaking, or just watching it. I’m also an avid skier. I enjoy giving back to the community through various volunteer activities. I’m also working toward my pilot’s license.

What do you like about living in this area?
I love the views. I feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful area. Beyond that the proximity to beaches and mountains, and the recreation they offer.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I feel so honored to work with an outstanding brokerage like the Hasson Company. The level of service and commitment to quality is unlike anything else I’ve seen. In a competitive market place like real estate, it feels amazing to be surrounded by agents who treat each other as part of a team and not competition. We utilize each other as resources creating a synergy that puts our brokers and their clients at a distinct advantage.
