How long have you worked in Real Estate?
Over 23 years

What is your specialty?
Residential

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Buyers: Don’t wait. If you really like it, someone else will too.
Sellers: Be prepared to get an offer the day your home goes on the market. Things will happen faster than you expected. Are you prepared to move so quickly?

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
A $1.5 million Lindahl Cedar home on 16 acres, in Lyle WA, with view of Mt. Adams. Unique in that the buyer made some changes in the floor plan which Lindahl Cedar Homes liked so well, they adopted the floor plan and used it in their national advertising campaign.

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
Challenge: Keeping up with the ever changing legal aspects of the business and the myriad of forms required in buying and selling property.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
As long as we continue to have high demand with low inventory and low interest rates, prices will continue to increase, but probably not at the rates of about two years ago. Everybody is thinking this way right now. But we all know that what comes up must come down.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
Didn’t you know Realtors don’t have hobbies! Actually, I really love to travel. I try to go out of the country without my cell phone for two weeks every year. My next trip is to Cuba in April 2016. And I would actually like to get back to playing golf.

What do you like about living in this area?
I’ve never really thought about it. I grew up on the Idaho side of Oregon. Most of my family lives in Oregon, so I just came back after 20 years away.

Anything else you would like our readers to know about you and your company?
I think that John L Scott really has at heart the best interests of the agents. We get a lot of technical support, superior marketing materials and ongoing education. John L Scott knows they are only as successful as their agents are successful.
