How long have you worked in Real Estate?
I have been a licensed REALTORĀ® for three years and before that I worked in property management.

What is your specialty?
I specialize in listing homes. I have a passion for interior design and I use that to help my clients stage their homes. This helps them sell faster and for more money. Working as part of a team has been great, we all have our strengths, and for me it’s staging and the homes shine!

What is one tip you have for someone looking to buy or sell a home?
Use a professional! I can’t tell you how much time, energy and money it will save you to use a professional lender and Realtor.

What is the most unique property you’ve listed or sold?
I’ve sold condos, townhomes and single family homes, but the most unique home I sold was a tiny home! We ended up receiving multiple offers and selling the home for more than we had expected. Needless to say the homeowners were very happy!

What is the most challenging/gratifying aspect of what you do?
By far exceeding people’s expectation is always the best feeling and most gratifying part of my work. I love to sell my clients’ homes faster and for more money than they were expecting.

What do you see in the future for real estate sales/prices?
Home values are going to continue to rise. Currently we have a shortage of homes for sale, only 1.9 months of inventory which means it’s a seller’s market. We have a lot of people who would like to sell their homes and purchase something different, but there isn’t a lot on the market for them to buy, so they are waiting. If you are in a position to sell, now is the time. Interest rates are low and will probably go up in 2016 which will limit buying power. Also, I believe that the improvements and development in Downtown Vancouver will positively impact homeowners especially in the downtown core, but will overall make Vancouver look more appealing to people relocating to the Portland Metro Area.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not working? Hobbies, volunteering, family, fun?
When I’m not working I’m enjoying my family! My husband and I have two daughters ages two and six. I am super crafty and both my daughters enjoy crafting with me! Kirk, my husband is very handy, so we are always in the middle of a home project. I also love date nights and finding a good cup of coffee!

What do you like about living in this area?
The best part of this area to me, is all my family and the history we have made here. My great Grandfather, who recently celebrated his 100[th] birthday, was born in Ridgefield and has spent his entire life there. Most of my extended family still lives in the area. I love being able to get together on a weekly basis with my family and hear my grandpa’s stories about the wood mill, or paddling his boat across the Columbia River to get to school. I love running into people everywhere I go that I know, or when I do find people I don’t know, realizing that we have connections. It really is a small town!
